All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens--OKC OK McGinty, Jim Kenneth Jim Kenneth McGinty, age 78, died Friday, August 19, 2005 at his home in Bethany. He was born February 19, 1927 in Maysville, OK to Chester Franklin and Gracie Dora(Cranford) McGinty and grew up in Maysville and Ponca City. He served 27 years in the US Army serving in Japan, Germany, France, Korea and Viet Nam as well as many assignments in the US, before retiring in 1972. After retiring from the military he worked for and retired in 1992 from Dayton Tires in the Plant Protection Department. He was an active member of The Bridge(Mustang) Assembly of God. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Vicki and one brother Other. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Theta Jean of the home, one son Jimmy Clark McGinty and wife Betty of Bethany and one daughter Eppie Lynn Bass and husband Jeremy of Edmond. Also by one granddaughter, ten great grandchildren, two brothers L.J. McGinty of El Paso, TX and Douglas McGinty of Ponca City, OK. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at the Bridge Assembly of God in Mustang, Ok with interment following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Oklahoma City, Ok under the direction of McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service, Mustang, OK.
