The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ *********************************************************************** Use your browsers back button to return to the previous page OBITUARY FOR Jack Kenneth McKelroy Jack Kenneth McKelroy Jack Kenneth McKelroy, 74, was born Nov. 5, 1927, near Hominy, Okla., to Almo D. and Nettie Wilcox McKelroy, and passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2001, at Sulphur. Jack graduated from Milfay High School in Creek County and attended Oklahoma A&M. He enlisted in the military to service his country during World War II. On Dec. 21, 1947, he married June Tolley in Marietta. Jack was employed by Halliburton Oil and was sent to Ada. In 1963, Jack and June made their home in Wynnewood when transferred by Halliburton. He retired in 1984 after 36 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wynnewood and was a deacon of the church. He is survived by his wife, June of the home in Wynnewood; son, Ronald K. McKelroy of Massillon, Ohio; two daughters: Shirley J. Stroud of Cashion, and Mary K. DeMoss of Germantown, Tenn.; sister, Eudelle Griffith of Houston, Texas; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters. Graveside services are set for 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17 in Hominy with Pete DeMoss officiating. Visitation for friends to meet with the family will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the DeArman Funeral Home in Wynnewood.
