::Greenlawn Memorial Park--Bakersfield CA

Meyer, Jeanie M.

A Chapel service will be held Friday, April 20, 2007, at 1:00 p.m., 
at Greenlawn Memorial Chapel, 3700 River Blvd. Bakersfield, CA. 
Pastor Duane Meadors will officiate. Interment will be private at 
Hillcrest Memorial Park. Jeanie was born in Paul's Valley, Oklahoma. 
She came to Bakersfield in 1941. She also lived in Taft and Tehachapi 
for several years. She was in nursing most of her life. She loved 
caring for and taking care of people. She was at KMC, Sheriff's 
Dept., at the jail and the nurse at CCI in Tehachapi. She also helped 
start the Indian Group at the prison in Tehachapi. Her greatest joy 
was her family. She was the pied piper of children. Her grandchildren 
and great-great- grandchildren will remember her as their best friend 
and playmate. She was always ready to tell a story or play games with 
them. She is survived by a brother, Tom Bradshaw; children, Gene 
Krause and wife, Sue, Cheryl Horvath and husband, Stephen, and John 
E. Meyer. She leaves behind nine grandchildren, twelve great-
grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She also leaves behind 
her devoted friend, Lorraine Stiern. The family wishes to thank 
Westchester Gardens, Pleasant Care, and Optimal Hospice for their 
love and care of our mother. In lieu of flowers you may send 
donations to Optimal Hospice, 4800 Stockdale Hwy., Suite 215, 
Bakersfield, CA 93309. Visitation will be held Wednesday and 
Thursday, April 18 and 19, from 3-9 p.m., at Greenlawn Memorial 
Chapel at 3700 River Blvd. Bakersfield, CA. Jeanie M. Meyer AKA 
Krause, Muns and Kelly Dec. 28, 1922 - Apr. 15, 2007 Greenlawn 
Mortuary
