The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ *********************************************************************** Obit for Mildred Freeman Robbins Pauls Valley (OK) Daily Democrat November 23, 1999 Mildred Freeman Robbins Funeral Services for Mildred Freeman Robbins were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1999 at the First Presbyterian Church, officiated by Dr. Harry Millard. Burial was at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean Funeral Home. Mildred Freeman Robbins, 95, of Pauls Valley passed away Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999 at Pauls Valley General Hospital. She was born April 7, 1904 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma Indian Territory to William Mitchell and Emma (Williams) Freeman. Mildred attended school at Randolph Macon in Virginia and furthered her education at the University of Oklahoma, where she earned her degree in education. In 1930, she and James O. Robbins were married. She taught in several places including Whitehead, Seminole, Capital Hill and at the time of her retirement she was teaching at Harding. Mildred was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where she had been a member of the Vesper Circle and a member of the Board of Trustees. She was also a 75-year member of the Tri Delta sorority at Oklahoma University and a volunteer at the Pauls Valley General Hospital Auxiliary. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James O. "Stub" Robbins on January 25, 1964; and a child who died in infancy. Mildred is survived by two brothers: Harold Freeman and William Jennings Freeman and his wife Jewell all of Pauls Valley. Numerous nieces and nephews including: Dan and Ben Bosworth and Carolyn Bosworth all of Pauls Valley. The family requests that memorials be sent to the First Presbyterian Church, P.O.
