Miller PLAINVIEW - Dwight L. Miller, 71, died Saturday, Sept. 18, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Garland Street Church of Christ with Karl King of the church officiating and Deryl Clevenger of Hart and Travis Trussell assisting. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mr. Miller was born and attended schools in Stafford, Okla. He also attended Wayland Baptist College and, in 1952, moved from Clinton, Okla., to Plainview, where he built dams. He was active in the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and was a member of the Garland Street Church of Christ, where he was active with the youth programs. He was a farmer in Van Horn, Hart and Plainview. He married Wanda Jean Meador in 1950 at Clovis, N.M. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Carol Boswell of Andrews; a son, Tony Miller of Tucson, Ariz.; three brothers, Wes Miller of Lawton, Okla., Hoyt Miller of Fairland, Okla., and Gene Miller of Foss, Okla.; a sister, Cleta Johnson of Hobart, Okla.; and five grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to National Bible Studies at Garland Street Church of Christ; or Vista Care Family Hospice.
