Mrs. Ollivier was born Nov. 13, 1927 in Wynnewood, Okla. to Mary Francis (Brantley) and Floyd Lewis Jordan. She was a second of three children. The family stayed in Oklahoma until the Dust Bow when they migrated to California. As a young girl, Mrs. Ollivier picked cotton and worked the fields with the rest of her family to make ends meet. She was know to be movie star gorgeous and had a beautiful smile. She set her sights on a handsome young man named Louis Ollivier, she was a just a teenager when they met, fell in love and got married. Because he was in the military they moved frequently. They had six wonderful children. In 1965, Mr. and Mrs. Ollivier came back to California to be near their oldest daughter who was living at Naval Air Station Lemoore. They settled in Kings County about 42 years ago. Mrs. Ollivier has been residing in Armona for about the past 40 years. She was a wonderful homemaker and first and foremost a caregiver. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Throughout the years, in addition for caring for her own children, she also helped care for numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews and just about anyone who needed help. Mrs. Ollivier enjoyed baking, canning and making special treats for her loved ones. She spent numerous hours alongside her children and grandchildren canning peaches at the Armona Cannery. Though her life wasn't always easy, Mrs. Ollivier felt she had received many blessings throughout her life. She enjoyed attending Koinonia Church on Sundays, going to Bible study and visiting with her family and friends. Mrs. Ollivier is survived by her children, Ramona Ransdell of Arizona, Joseph Ollivier of Idaho, Michael Ollivier of Hanford, Greg Ollivier of Armona, Theresa Loren of Hanford; 23 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ann Jordan of Arkansas, numerous nieces and nephews and many cherished friends, including her friend Mary. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis Ollivier, her parents Floyd Lewis and Francis Jordan, sister and brother-in-law, Silvia Valene and Jack Michael, brother, Floyd Lee Jordan, oldest daughter, Carol Ollivier, grandson, Louis Cruse and nephews David Jordan and Richard Michael.
