Parker March 22, 1907 - May 24, 2005 Francis W. Parker passed away on May 24, 2005 at the age of 98. He was born on March 22, 1907 to Benjamin Franklin and Matildi Lee (Bratcher) Parker in Brock, Texas. Francis married Dora Vada Norton on October 3, 1925 in Ada, Oklahoma. Three children were born from this marriage. After Dora Vada passed away in 1955, Francis married Rosie Carrie Denson. Francis was a farmer until 1941. From 1941 until 1947 Francis owned a Hatchery and Farmer's Produce business. During the years of 1947 through 1956 he owned and operated the first automatic laundry in Lindsay. From 1956 until his retirement in 1973, Francis was employed by the Water Department for the City of Lindsay. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and visiting with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Dora Vada Parker, his second wife, Rosie Carrie Parker, two sisters, Lavada Parker, Gertrude Woodruff, three brothers, Roden Parker, A.T. Parker and Artist Parker. Francis is survived by his daughter Audra Dennis, of Lindsay, OK, two sons, Ollen Parker and his wife Joyce, of Norman, OK, and Loyd Parker, and his wife Gloria, of Norman, OK., three sisters, Earnestine Mauldin of Porterville, CA., Theta Whitton of Porterville, CA,and Evelyn Howell, two brothers, Loran Parker of Fresno, CA, and Earnest Parker, of Lindsay, OK. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren. Services for Francis will be May 27, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Interment will be at the Erin Springs Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of B. G. Boydston Funeral Home, Lindsay, Oklahoma.
