She was the beloved mother of Gail, Lane and Deanna. Maurine had 14 Grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great, Great Grandchildren. She has two surviving sisters and many loved nieces and nephews. Maurine lived a colorful life. In the mid 1930's she and her sister Millie, then known as the "Texas Sweethearts", sang and played guitar on Radio KFXR in Oklahoma City. However, the high point in her life came when she was proudly baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on July 14, 1940. She faithfully "endured to the end." One of Nana's favorite scriptures was Matthew 6:33 - "Keep on, then, seeking first the kingdom and his righteousness, and all these [other] things will be added to YOU." She certainly had "all these other things" in abundance. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 830 Wilson Road, Hall B.
