Thomas SILVERTON - Windle D. "Sonny" Thomas, 68, died Monday, June 14, 1999. Graveside services with Masonic rites will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Silverton Cemetery with the Rev. Randy Mullin officiating. Arrangements are by MyersLong Funeral Directors of Silverton. Mr. Thomas was born in Stratford, Okla. He retired after 32 years of service with the Texas Department of Transportation. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and was member and past master of the Silverton Masonic Lodge. He married Dena White in 1973 at Tulia. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mary Jo Brannon of Silverton, Ellen Hopper of Amarillo and Diane Parker of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother, Grover Thomas of Silverton; four sisters, Ruby Hester and Winnie Smith, both of Silverton, Inez Richardson of Tulia and Ida Mae Hardin of Brady; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Viewing will be at the Silverton Masonic Lodge. The family suggests memorials be to Hospice Hands of West Texas at Lockney.
