Turner, Chloe Helen

Services will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2007, 10:00 a.m., at 
Greenlawn Memorial Chapel, 3700 River Blvd. Rev. Thomas Norris will 
officiate. Chloe Helen Turner was born on November 6, 1916, in Paoli, 
OK. At the age of 18, she left her home in search of a life that 
offered her more opportunities. Soon thereafter, she arrived in 
California, and in 1936 moved to Bakersfield, where she met and fell 
in love with Lloyd Turner. They were married on March 30, 1940, in 
Las Vegas and soon made their home in Bakersfield. Chloe was preceded 
in death by her husband, Lloyd in 1967; parents, Charles and Retha; 
brothers, Charles and Raymond; and sister, Daphne. She is survived by 
her daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Ernest Garcia of Folsom; son 
and daughter-in-law, Terry and Debbie Turner of Martinez; son and 
daughter-in-law, Lloyd and Terri Turner of Northridge; sister, Marie 
Freze of OK; 8 grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren and one great-
great- grandchild. After the death of her husband, Chloe began a 20 
year career working in retail sales for Brocks in downtown 
Bakersfield. She relocated to Folsom in 1994 where she made her home 
with her daughter Helen and her family. Her love for her family can 
only be surpassed by their love for her. She will be dearly missed. 
Pallbearers will be Steve Duggins, Brian, Bridget, Brandi and Edward 
Turner, Jeanine Ball, Michael Duggins, and Ernest Garcia. Honorary 
pallbearer will be Jeffrey Duggins. Visitation will be Monday, 6-9 p.
