Stevenson # 457A Garvin County Probate Records Pages 322, 323, 324, 325 No. 457A Petition for Letters of Administration Sate of Oklahoma County of Garvin In County Court To the Honorable W.B.M. Mitchell,Judge of the County Court, of the County of Garvin, State of Oklahoma The petition of Malinda Stevenson of said Garvin County, respectfully shows: That John H. Stevenson died, intestate, on or about the 24th day of December 1908, in the County of Garvin and the state of Oklahoma. Thant said deceased, at the time of his death, was a resident of the County of Garvin, State of Oklahoma. That said deceased left estate, real and personal, in said Garvin County, and the value and character of said property, so far as known to your petitioner, are as follows, to-wit: One wagon worth $10.0 One buggy worth $15.00 Mary's equity in 36 head of hogs worth $5.00 400 bus of corn worth $240.00 Equity in 50 acres of land, worth $500.00 Equity in one residence house and lots worth $500.00 Set of harness worth $35.00 Two sows worth - this line is stricken Two horses worth - this line is stricken That the whole estate and effects for or in respect of which letters of administration are hereby applied for, do not probably exceed the value of One thousand dollars. That the names, ages, and residence of the heirs at law of the decedent, so far as known to your petitioner are as follows: Malinda Stevenson, age 41 years, residence Garvin County, OK Albert Stevenson, age 24 years, residence do. Resa Hines, age 19 years, residence do. This line is stricken Mary Stevenson, Age 14 years, residence do. That due search and inquiry have been made to ascertain if said deceased left any will and testament, but none has been found, and accordingto to the best knowledge, information and belief of your petitioner said deceased died intestate. That your petitioner is the widow of said deceased, and therefore, as your petitioner is advised and believes, entitled to letters of administration of said estate. Wherefore, your petitioner prays that a day of Court may be appointed for hearing this application, that due notice thereof be given by the Judge of said Court by posting or publishing notices according to law, and that upon said hearing, and the proofs to be adduced, Letters of Administration of said estate may be issued to your petitioner; and your petitioner will ever pray, etc. Dated October 14th, A.D. 1909.
