No doubt the boys knew what the truth was at that time, especially being shot up and half dead, surving a slaughter, cutting themselves loose with a pocket knife from the shackled dead bodies of their other 2 dead brothers Epp and Alf. Boone the youngest brother was accused of murder and the boys where all accused of stealing ponies from the Indians. the year was 1888, all of this being lies, made up by a bunch of land grubbing ranchers and corrupt sheriffs, wanting power and the land. The Marlows traveld from Tennesse, Missouri, Mexico, Kansas, Iowa, Colorado , back to Oklahoma , which even named a town after them, Marlow Oklahoma, always moving looking for that one place to call home and I think they found it for a while in and around Rushsprings, I know my great grama did and her sister Lottie, this area, ended up being their, burial ground. The Marlow father was from Tennesse, he left with his first wife Elizabeth, around 1838, and lived in Wibaleau, Mo. for a number of years, after giving birth to her 4th child, Bithel in 1843, She died, the other 3 children , Achsah L. born 1836, James Robert, born 1838 and Pleasant 1841, all went with, Williamsons brother, and his wife, for a number of years, he wandered throught out Mo, and who knows where else, but some how as written in the Marlow Book, he earned a medical degree, we know that he was licensed by the state of Texas in 1870's. on his way back to his brother s family and his own children he came across, a young girl , and her brother, Martha and John Keeton, fishing for the evening supper, seems like he took a fancy to the peteit, little Mo. lassy, and stayed a spell, , at the delight of the young girl who by now was smitten with the handsome and distinguished young doctor. about 10 years her senior, she being about 15 or 16, so they started back to Williamsons family living in Montgomery Co. Mo. There is always speculation on the dates, of birth and marriages, as no marriage licenses have been found that I know of on Williamsons, 2 marriages, or birthdates, and in no way do I dispute what other decendents have passed down , Ive learned with age and getting the facts straight, is in the eye of the beholder. Martha and Williamson Marlow where the parents of Nancy Jane born 1844 died in 1935, in Chickasha, , Charlotte T. 1848 , death certificate says 1840, died in 1941, in Tuttle, these 2 married the Murphy boys in 1865 in Colorado I have copies of marriage certificates, and raised there familys in Grady and Stephens and Comanche Co. then there was, Wilson Williamson Jr. 1852, died 1877, my greatgrandmother Elizabeth Louisa or LD as has on her grave stone, born 1854 died 1935 in Tuttle and buried in Rushsrpings Cemetery with her 2nd husband James Carrell and 2 of her sons Ollie Huston Carrell and Joe Hamilton Carroll. Anthony was born in 1857, died in 1859, George 1855, Charlie 1860, Alfred 1862 died in 1889 fondly called Alf, Lewellyn 1864, called Epp, died along with Alf in ambush in Texas, Boone born in 1864, shot in the head after he was poisened by his girlfriends brother, hiding out, but later found out the powers that be, he was murdered and was exonerated of all charges in 1891, him and his brothers, by the Texas courts, of which is on record, their where alot of people who sympathized with the Marlows in those days and new the truth, of their saga in their travels between Texas and Oklahoma, Oklahoma being the state which my grama called a little bit of heaven, Williamson Marlow died in 1885 in Texas. and buried along the trail, Martha died in Ouray Colorado on Billy Creek, in 1907, and is buried on their ranch which is not part of a state park, Nancy Marlow Murphy is buried in Rose hill Cemetery, Charlotte "Lottie" Marlow Muphy is buried in Tuttle, I know that Lottie and my grama lived from 1890 to the time they died in the rushsprings area, mostly Tuttle, It has been passed down through the Marlows that Martha was the grandaughter of Daniel Boone, which as far as I know has never been proven, the only connection I could find was throught the Vann Bibbers and Rentfroes/Renfroe familys, making them cousins,Marthas Mother was Nancy Ann Dyke Cole daughter of Hannah Cole and William Temple Cole, brother of Stephen Cole, for whom Cole County Mo. was named, but thats another bit of history, for another day, and thats the way I see it.
