Wilson Grady County Sheriff's Office Oklahoma End of Watch: Friday, May 31, 1935 Biographical Info Age: 42 Tour of Duty: 6 months Badge Number: Not available Incident Details Cause of Death: Gunfire Date of Incident: Friday, May 31, 1935 Weapon Used: Rifle Suspect Info: All four arrested Deputy Wilson was shot and killed while attempting to arrest four bank robbery suspects. He and officers from three other jurisdictions had trailed the men to a farmhouse 11 miles outside of town. Deputy Wilson and two other officers entered the house and were met by a hail of gunfire. Deputy Wilson was later found with 15 gunshot wounds. The other two deputies were wounded and all the suspects were arrested. During the previous week the same suspects shot and killed Policeman George Loper of the Pauls Valley Police Department while he was on his beat.
