Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Rush Springs Cemetery in Rush Springs, Okla., with Chuck Goodall of Chickasha, Okla., officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home of Marlow, Okla. Mrs. Acord was a resident of Chickasha for more than 60 years before moving to Pampa in 1997 to be near her family. She and her husband owned and operated Rocky's Ole Tyme Shoppe in Chickasha from 1967 until 1999. Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Copeland of Pampa; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Friends of the Library, P.O. She was a resident of Chickasha, Oklahoma for over 60 years before moving to Pampa in 1997 to be near her family. She married Glenn "Rocky" Acord on Oct 29, 1929 in Marlow, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1981. Mrs. Acord worked for the Selective Service System from 1941 until 1973 as chief clerk of the local draft board at Chickasha. She and her husband owned and operated Rocky's Ole Tym Shoppe in Chickasha from 1967 until 1999. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chickasha, the Chickasha Altrusa Club, and the Greater Oklahoma Antique Dealers Association in Oklahoma City. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Copeland and husband Dean of Pampa; two granddaughters, Neysa Brown and husband Joe of Pampa and Nan Rivera and husband Arcadio of Amarillo; a grandson, Mike Copeland and wife Martha of Clinton, Oklahoma; four great grandchildren, Brooke Brown, Hannah Rivera, and Adam Rivera, all of Amarillo, and Erik Brown of Hill AFB, Utah.
