Adams, age 86, died Friday January 31, 2003 at her home in Oklahoma City after a period of declining health. She was born March 17, 1916 in Grady County near Chickasha to Charles E. and Fannie Pearl Ashley Rains. She grew up in Chickasha and was a graduate of Chickasha High School. She had lived in Oklahoma City the last 45 years where she owned a thrift store, worked retail and kept foster children (200 plus) in her home. She was active member of Southwest Baptist Church, where she was nursery supervisor for more than twenty years. She is survived by four sons, Jim Adams, Don Justice and wife Tia, Sammy Sikes and wife Vicki and Mark Williams. Also by five grandchildren Jason Adams and wife Martha, Tracy Adams, Donald Lee Bryant, Jeremy and Rebecca Justice, two great granddaughters Teagan and Morgan Adams, three brothers Sherman, T.B. and J.D. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Elmer, two sisters Lorrine and Edith, two brothers Allen Edward and Totsie. Services will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, February 4, 2003 in the Chapel of The Good Shepherd at McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service, Mustang, Oklahoma with interment following in Fairlawn Cemetery at Chickasha, OK.
