He passed away April 14, 2001, at his home in Chaparral, New Mexico, at the age of 74. Jim attended school in Hawkins, Middleberg and Plains, Texas. He was in the Navy Medical Corps during WWII. After he was discharged from the Navy he finished his senior year at Dibble. Jim retired from Southern Pacific Railroad as a lineman foreman. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Olga and her husband Warner Hayhurst of Dibble; sister Lorene and her husband Les Covington of Duncanville, Texas; a niece and nephew. Survivors include long time companion Sophie; three daughters Gabby, LaPeta, and Gloria, all of the home; one brother Jack Albright of Norman; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorial services were held on April 19, 2001 in El Paso, Texas.
