Rev. Edward Whitley will officiate, and Rev. David Brinkman will assist. Goldie Ruth Alexander was born Jan. 10, 1927, in Verden, Okla., and died on Wednesday, June 4, 2003, in Tulsa. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of McRay Funeral Home. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 8 June 2003 GOLDIE RUTH ALEXANDER Funeral service for Goldie Ruth Alexander, age 76, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, formerly of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 9, 2003, in the Bible Baptist Church. Rev. Edward Whitley will officiate, and Rev. David Brinkman will assist. Goldie Ruth was born on January 10, 1927, in Verden, Oklahoma, to Matthew and Nettie King. She passed through the gates of heaven on Wednesday, June 4, 2003, in Tulsa, after a short illness. She married Roy Junior Alexander on April 27, 1946. Together they had one daughter, Rita Kaye. Goldie was a beautician for over forth years and a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Chickasha. She was well loved and will be missed forever. Goldie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, and great grandson, Austin. Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law: Rita and Jackie Ross of Montgomery. Texas; four grandchildren and spouses: Shannon and Gerald Fanning of Broken Arrow, Darla and Tim Bell of Collinsville, Carla Ross and Lance Bynum of Inola, Courtney and Ryan Lombard of Broken Arrow; nine great grandchildren. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
