Thurman Auld went home to be with our Lord January 6, 2002, after an extended illness. He was born to Virgil Lee Auld and Pearl McClain Auld on January 22, 1925, in Healdton, Oklahoma. He attended school in Ada, Oklahoma. He was a pilot in WWII for the U.S. Air Force and was employed for 40 years for Mobil Oil Company. Thurman married Betty Branch February 2, 1946, at Pampa, Texas. They had four daughters: Sharon Tinder and husband Henry Tinder, from Charlottesville, Virginia, Deb Porras of Chickasha, Oklahoma, Liz Lowe and husband Bud Lowe, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, Kim Sizemore and husband Bill Sizemore, of Edmond, Oklahoma. He had 10 grandchildren: Leisa Tinder Payette and husband Peter Payette, Jeni Tinder, Rick Porras, Tomy Porras and wife Niki Porras, Trey Lowe and wife Brooke Lowe, Tyler Lowe, Tiffany Lowe, Jordan Sizemore, Josh Sizemore, and Jacob Sizemore. He also had 3 beautiful great grandchildren, Joseph and Hannah Payette, and Haylee Porras. He is also survived by his brothers: LV Auld, Roswell Auld and Trueman Auld, and his sister, Lorraine Latimer. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, two brothers, and a sister. Thurman is remembered as an excellent husband, father, and Christian. He attended and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Chickasha. He was much loved and will be greatly missed. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be given to Heartland Hospice of Duncan Care Center, Duncan, Oklahoma, or your local Alzheimer?s Organization
