Thelma Dean Byfield was born February 1, 1941 in Okay, Oklahoma the daughter of George Adam and Lillie Mae Nail and died Sunday, October 1, 2000 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She and Allen Byfield were married February 17, 1956 in Ft. Gibson, OK. Mrs. Byfield came to Chickasha from Ft. Gibson. She lived in Chickasha for 20 years and moved to Hulbert in 1983. She worked for Hermetic Switch for 20 years and also worked at Bush Cannery in Muskogee for 1 year. Mrs. Byfield was a member of the First Christian Church in Boyington, OK. She was preceded in death by: parents; 1 son: Roger Allen Byfield; 2 brothers: Frankie and Charlie Nail; 1 sister: Myrtle Morgan. Survivors include: husband: Allen Byfield of the home; 2 sons: Ronnie Lee Byfield of Duncan, Oklahoma, Rickie Dean Byfield of Chickasha, Oklahoma; 1 daughter: Ronda Rae Murry of Chickasha, Oklahoma; 2 brothers: Ray Nail of Coweta, Oklahoma, Johnny Nail of McAlester, Oklahoma; 3 sisters: Lula May Robinson of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma, Doris Rankins of Wagoner, Oklahoma, Ruby Bookout of Okay, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
