All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Fairlawn Cemetery--Chickasha OK Rush Springs Gazette, Rush Springs Oklahoma 2 Mar 2000 Gordon Buford Beck Jr, 72, died Saturday, February 26, 2000 at his home in Rush Springs. Funeral services were held at 130 pm in the First Christian Church of Chickasha with the Rev. Gary Bell Officiating. Burial was in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, under the direction of the Ferguson Funeral Home of Chickasha. Mr. Beck was born November 1, 1927, in Comanche, the son of Gordon Buford Beck Sr. and Margaret E Branch Beck. He was married to Patsy R. Holland on August 27, 1947 in Oklahoma City. He moved to Cement with his family when he was 11 years old and attended Cement Public Schools. He became employed with Oklahoma Natural Gas Company in 1948, where he held various positions from a lineman to foreman of the Chickasha plant, where he retired in September 1986. He had lived in and around the Grady County area all of his life, living in Cement, Ninnekah and moving to Rush Springs in 1986. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Chickasha, a member of Masonic Lodge #94, member of the Chickasha's Order of the Eastern Star #29, and a dual member of Alex's Order of the Eastern Star #339. Buford was preceded in death by both parents and two sisters. Survivors include his wife Patsy of the home; one daughter, Patricia Beck of Oklahoma City; one son, Gordon Buford Beck III of Bothell, Washington; three sisters, Faughnetta Jean Davis of Woodward, Robbie Sue Pickens of Ardmore, and Francea Ivie of Moore; one brother, W. C.
