Beck Service for former Duncan resident Minnie L. Beck, 96, of Fort Worth, who died Tuesday Jan. 14, 2003, in Fort Worth, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. ========= Duncan Banner 16 Jan 2003 Minnie Laverne Beck Minnie Laverne Beck, 96, formerly of Duncan, now of Fort Worth, Texas, died Tuesday Jan. 14, 2003, in Fort Worth. Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Beck was born Jan. 1, 1907, in Stephens County, Indian Territory, to George Franklin and Willie Lilly Alexander Mansell. She married Charles Jesse Beck on July 14, 1923, in Chickasha. He preceded her in death on May 4, 2000. Mrs. Beck was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, friend and neighbor. She enjoyed being involved in her church activities and women's clubs. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Duncan. Survivors include a son, Darrel Ray Beck of Duncan; two daughters and a son-in-law, Laverne and Truman Dickey of Fort Worth, and Reva Shaddock of Duncan; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, three sisters and a daughter, Ella Faye Beck.
