Havenbrook Funeral Home Obituary

Lloyd Otho Baxter

Lloyd Otho Baxter, 88, of Norman, Oklahoma, died Thursday, July 21, 
2005, in Norman, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 
A.M., Saturday, July 23, 2005, at Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel in 
Norman. Interment will follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Norman, 
Oklahoma. Pallbearers are Stan Jones, Colby Wardwell Jesse Caldwell 
and Beau Caldwell. Honorary bearer will be T.J. Hagood. Services are 
under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman, Oklahoma.

Mr. Baxter was born September 8, 1916, in Lenna, Oklahoma, to Arthur 
R. And Selma I. (Edwards) Baxter. He graduated from Amber High 
School, Amber, Oklahoma in1936. He married M. Loretta Green on June 
16, 1943, in Visalia, California.

Mr. Baxter was an auto salesman for Eskridge Automotive Group in 
Oklahoma City for twenty years. He loved his job and also enjoyed 
playing golf and was an avid sports fan. He was a member of Goodrich 
Memorial United Methodist Church.

Mr. Baxter was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Burl, and 
infant son, Donald. Survivors include his wife, Loretta, of the home; 
son, Melvin T. Baxter, of Derwood, MD; two brothers, Everett Baxter 
and Roy Baxter in California; three sisters-in-laws, Jewell Bunch, of 
Rocky, OK, Lurvene Wynne of Houston, TX, and Norma Green of Norman; 
and three grandchildren, Kelly, Stacey and Mike Baxter of Derwood, 
MD.
