Mary Lucy Baker was born Aug. 8, 1912, and died on Friday, Nov. 1, 2002, in Chickasha. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 3 November 2002 MARY "LUCY" BAKER Funeral services for Mary Lucy Baker, 90, of Chickasha, will be held Monday, November 4, 2002, at 10:30 a.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Chapel. Mary Lucy Baker was born August 8, 1912, in the Panhandle of Oklahoma. She died November 1, 2002, in Chickasha. As a young child Lucy and her family moved to the Friendship Community, near Altus, Oklahoma. Lucy graduated from Pleasant Point High School. After high school graduation she moved to Anadarko, and married Erick Rogers, who preceded her in death. She attended a beautician school in Anadarko and then moved to Chickasha, where she met and married Francis Ludwig, who also preceded her in death. Lucy owned and operated out of her house a beauty shop for many years. She married Henry Baker in 1948. After closing her beauty shop, Lucy was employed as a sales clerk with Fashion World and Donell's. She was a member of the New Life Christian Church, belonged to several Bridge Clubs in Chickasha and was a member of the 1938 Study Club. Lucy was preceded in death by both parents, three brothers, one sister, four children, Jimmy Rogers, Gloria Rogers, an infant son, her daughter, Judy Hussey and her husband Henry Baker. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Thelma Turley, of Anadarko; three nephews and their wives, Derrill and Mary Ann Turley of Chickasha, Mack and Sherry Turley, of Abilene, Texas, Merle and Dorothy Turley, of Boulder City, Nevada; two nieces and their husbands, Theda and Carl Steverson, of Anadarko, Mona and Ancil Warren, of Edmond; and one son-in-law, George Hussey, of Bella Vista, Arkansas. Memorials may be made to: New Life Christian Church Transportation Fund, P. O. Box 1807, Chickasha, Oklahoma, 73023.
