Eldon Baker was born Sept. 19, 1915, and died on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 31 January 2003 ELDON BAKER Funeral service for Eldon Baker, 87, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 31, 2003, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Eldon Baker was born September 19, 1015, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the son of Grover and Mary (Winstone) Baker, and died Wednesday, January 20, 2003, in Chickasha. Mr. Baker grew up in the Pioneer Community, where he graduated in 1935. He married Elsie Higginbotham on December 24, 1940, in Chickasha. She preceded him in death in 1998. Mr. Baker served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He lived in the Chickasha area all of his life and worked for Body Benson as a carpenter. Mr. Baker was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. He was also preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother: Edward Baker. Survivors include: 1 daughter and son-in-law: Evelyn and Ralph Morgan of Chickasha, Oklahoma; 1 son and daughter-in-law: Gene and Janet Baker of Odessa, Texas; 4 grandsons: Jimmy Morgan of Chickasha, Bret Baker of Odessa, Texas, Justin Baker of Dallas, Texas, Matthew Baker of Arlington, Texas; 1 granddaughter: Kristy Morgan of Chickasha; 1 brother and his wife: Clyde and Treva Baker of Benson, Arizona; 2 sisters: Lalla Antinoro of Tampa, Florida, Betty Day of Chickasha; 5 great grandchildren.
