All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Rush Springs Cemetery--Rush Springs OK Marlow Review 6 Apr 2006 Oscar Boyd Baker, Sr. Oscar Boyd Baker, Sr., 72, of Oklahoma City passed away Saturday, April 1, 2006, in Oklahoma City. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., today (Thursday), April 6, in the Rush Springs Cemetery, with the Rev. Donnie Miller officiating. Services are under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs. Boyd was born Wednesday, Oct. 11, 1933, in Rush Springs, to the late Archie L. and the late Myrtle (Aker) Baker. He attended school at Rush Springs. He joined the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. Boyd married the late Myrtle Lee Munsinger in April of 1978 in Canton, Texas. She preceded him in death on Feb. 2, 1999. He lived most of his life in Rush Springs except the last 50 days that he lived in Oklahoma City. Boyd retired as a Truck Driver that he loved. He enjoyed going to rodeos and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife; a daughter, Theresa Baker; his parents; three brothers, Kenneth, Fred and Carl. His survivors include five sons and three daughters-in-law, Boyd and Sue Baker, Jr. of Oklahoma City, Vic and Carol Baker of Ark., Russell Baker of Oklahoma City, Gary and Anna Baker of Phoenix, Ariz., and John Baker of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren, Amanda, Leslie, Brian and Michael; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Cara; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda and Chuck White of Tuttle, and Carolyn and Ralph Myers of Anadarko; and nieces and nephews.
