Baker Sr., Booker T.

Booker T. Baker Sr. Resident of Richmond Booker T. Baker, Sr. was 
born July 4, 1924, to Leroy and Julia Baker in Chickasha, Oklahoma. 
In 1944 he moved to California, in 1946, he married Mary E. Chandler. 
Booker worked for and retired from Atlas Foundry in Richmond. After 
retirement he enjoyed the 'good life' of fishing and rebuilding. He 
was preceded in death by his wife in 1991. Booker passed away May 3, 
2006, he is survived by five sons: Ronald L. Baker, Sr., Booker T. 
Baker, Jr., Marvin Baker, Cory L. Baker, and Brandon L. Baker, Sr.; 
one daughter Teresa Baker; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. 
He leaves 3 brothers: Calvin C. Baker of Oklahoma, Mitchell Bowles of 
Nevada, and William Bowles of Illinois; one sister Evelyn Bowles of 
Washington, and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation 
Tues., May 9, 4-6 p.m., Quiet Hour 6:30-7:30pm. Service May 10, at 
11am at Rose Manor Chapel. Burial, Rolling Hills Richmond.
