Persons or organizations desiring to use this material for purposes other than stated above must obtain the written consent of the file contributor. ====================================================================== The Chickasha Express-Star 15 April 2002 RUBY FAYE BATY Graveside services for Ruby Faye Baty, 83, of Chickasha, will be held Tuesday, April 16, 2002, at 1:00 p.m. at the Rose Hill Cemetery with Audie Dorrough officiating. Ruby Faye Baty was born September 4, 1918, in Rocky Ford, Oklahoma, the daughter of Ernest Cox and Vera Rimer Cox. Ruby passed from this world April 12, 2002, at Grace Living Center-Brookwood in Oklahoma City. Ruby was raised in Caddo County and went to Cotton Wood School. She attended the Baptist Church and was saved and baptized when she was eighteen years old. She was a quiet and loving person. Ruby went to work at the Chickasha Clinic in 1955; the last fifteen years she worked with Dr. Bledsoe. Ruby made many friends through the years, which she loved and cherished. She also loved spending weekends with her grandchildren. Ruby spent time reading, crocheting and growing flowers. She lived most of her life in Chickasha, and she had spent the last eleven years living with her daughter and son-ion-law, Doris and Roy Miller. Ruby was preceded in death by both parents, one brother, one sister and her husband, Melvin Baty. Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Vi Cox, of Modesto, California; two daughters and son-in-laws, Lavada and Gerald Robb, of Las Vegas, and Doris and Roy Miller, of Chickasha, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Casket bearers include Roy D. Miller, Steven R. Miller, Justin D. Miller, Coy Morris, Ronnie Morris, Chris White and Roy E. Miller. The family would like to say a special thank you to the Staff of Grace Living Center-Brookwood for the loving care they gave Ruby the last few days of her life. Interment will be held in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
