Casada Boyd Mickey J. Casada Boyd, 71, of Amarillo died Saturday, June 1, 2002. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in South Georgia Baptist Church with Bob Miller, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Boyd was born in Pampa. She married Ken Boyd on July 27, 1950, in Odessa. She moved to Amarillo in 1998 from Westcliffe, Colo. She was a school teacher for more than 32 years all over the world before retiring in 1994 from Weatherford Independent School District. She was a member of South Georgia Baptist Church. After serving the Lord as a pianist and organist in many churches, she went home to be with her Heavenly Father. Survivors include her husband; a son, Michael James Boyd of Azle; a daughter, Kimmie Doyle McMullen of Minco, Okla.; and five granddaughters. The family suggests memorials be to United We Build at South Georgia Baptist Church. Amarillo Globe-News, June 2, 2002
