Robert B. 'Buz' Bates
Services were held 28-Jan-2000 at the College Heights Baptist Church in
Chickasha, grady co., Ok. for Robert B. 'Buz' Bates who died 26-Jan-2000
in Chickasha. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Chickasha, under 
the direction of Sevier Funeral Home of Chickasha. Bates was born 
24-May-1950 in Hobart, kiowa co., Ok. to Herbert and Cornelia (Martin) 
Bates. He married 06-Dec-1969 in Anadarko, caddo co., Ok., Annette 
Scaffetta. He was vice president and senior trust officer of Midland 
Trust Company of MidFirst Bank in Chickasha. He was president and CEO of 
Oklahoma National Bank and Trust Company in Chickasha from 1981 to 1998. 
He had recently been employed at Chickasha Bank as vice president. He 
was a member of the Rotary Club, American and Oklahoma Institute of 
Certified Public Accountants and Central Oklahoma Investment Club of 
Chickasha. He was a member of the College Heights Baptist Church where 
he served as deacon, and men's Sunday School teacher. He was also a 
member of the Baptist Foundation Board. Survivors include his wife, two 
sons, his parents, and one brother.
