::Verden Cemetery--Verden OK

The Verden News
December 26, 1913

 
Miss Anna Butler died at the home of her cousin, Mrs. Graham, at Venita, 
Okla., Thursday, December 18, 1913.

She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Butler who now live near 
Blanchard, Okla., but who for a number of years lived on a farm north of 
Verden.

Deceased was 28 years of age and had been employed in the Sanders Wright 
Department store at Venita for over a year and the sad news of her death 
came as a shock to her many [friends] here.

The remains were shipped to Verden, Friday evening and funeral services 
held at the Methodist church, Saturday at 2 o'clock, conducted by 
Presiding Elder Weaver of Chickasha and interment made in the Verden 
cemetery amid a concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends.
