All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== The Chickasha Express-Star 5 October 2004 ROSEMOND BUTTERFIELD Funeral services for Rosemond Butterfield, 70, of Chickasha, Okla., will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor F. E. McCarrell will officiate. Rosemond Butterfield was born Dec. 13, 1933, in Chickasha, and died on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, in Chickasha. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 6 October 2004 ROSEMOND BUTTERFIELD Funeral services for Rosemond Moore Butterfield, 70, of Chickasha, will be held Friday, October 8, 2004, at 1:30 p.m., in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel. Rosemond Butterfield was born December 13, 1933, in Chickasha, the daughter of Raymond Johns and Bertha Mae Taylor Johns. She slipped away to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 2, 2004. Rosemond attended USAO, studying socialogy and early childhood education/child development. She was a Head Start teacher for 25 years and was the agency staff representative of the Head Start Association. She was a member of the Eastside Church of God and Christ, where she taught the adult Sunday school. She was dedicated to visiting the sick at our local hospital and nursing homes. She also went from door to door praying for the sick. She was a foster parent for 10 years or the Department of Human Services. As a teacher and foster parent, she changed the lives of many young people. Rosemond was recognized for 20 years of service for helping people help themselves, by the Oklahoma Association of community Action Agencies. Rosemond lived her life such as she believed: "We may give without loving, but we cannot love without giving." She is preceded in death by Robert Lee Moore, Sr., and Robert Lee Moore, Jr. Rosemond leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Ned Butterfield; one sister, Carolyn Perry; two sons, Kim and Scott Moore; two daughters-in-law: Beverly and Neva; three daughters: Ottoria "Torie" Dean, Linda Walker, and Bessie Moore; one son-in-law, Robert Dean; seven grandchildren: Jessica and Rose Dean, Robin Rosemond Dean Scott, Claude and Dee Gregory, Darren and Anitra Jackson; one great grandson, Amon Jackson; and a host of relatives and friends.
