"BENNIE" BENNETT, JR. Funeral service for Benjamin F. "Bennie" Bennett, Jr., 79, of Ninnekah, Oklahoma will be held at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2003, at the First Baptist Church of Ninnekah. Benjamin F. "Bennie" Bennett, Jr., was born November 14, 1924, in Ninnekah, Oklahoma, the son of Ben F. and Mary Leona (Cambron) Bennett, and died January 31, 2004, in Oklahoma City. Bennie was born and raised in Ninnekah and graduated from Ninnekah High School in 1944 and then attended Texas Tech. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Air Force. Mr. Bennett owned and operated Bennett's Apco and Bennett's Tire Business in Ninnekah from 1952 - 1994. He also worked for the Post Office as a clerk and was Post Master from 1963 - 1982. Bennie and Jessie Marie James were married July 9, 1944, at Quartz Site, Arizona. Mr. Bennett was a member of the Oklahoma National Guard from 1946 - 1950. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, the National League of Post Masters and was a member of the Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Marie Bennett; his parents, Ben F. and Mary Bennett; one sister, Lucille Johnson; and five brothers, Victor, Herbert, Marvin, David and Billy Joe Bennett. Survivors include his wife, Jessie Marie Bennett, of the home; two sons and their wives: Clyde and Bonita Bennett of Ninnekah, and Richard A. and Oneta Bennett of Ninnekah; grandsons and their wives: Tracy and Anna Bennett, Paul David and Cynthis Bennett, Richard A. and Rhonda Bennett; granddaughters and their husbands: Kathy Diane and Joyn Joyce, Leta Marie and Jim Pruitt; two brothers and their wives: Roy and Joy Bennett, Bobby Don and Kitty Bennett; one sister and her husband: Nancy and Lucian Johnson.
