All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lindsey Brooke Bandy VERDEN, Okla. - Lindsey Brooke Bandy, 17, died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1998. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the new Verden school gym with the Rev. Johnny Wray, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Verden, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko. Arrangements are by Steverson Funeral Home in Anadarko. Miss Bandy was born in Chickasha and reared in the Anadarko-Verden area and attended Verden schools. She was a member of the 1999 class of Verden High School. She was a member of the Future Homemakers of America, where she served as secretary and president of her sub-district. She played softball and basketball and was manager of the boys basketball team. She had been a member of the National Honor Society for three years and a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and was listed in Who's Who Among American High School Students. She was a member of the Verden First Baptist Church and was active in the church youth group. She had worked the last two summers at Arby's in Chickasha. Her paternal grandparents, Mae and Elvin Etharidge, preceded her in death. Survivors include her mother, Debbie Cochran of Anadarko; her father, Dewey Joe Bandy Jr. of Chickasha; her step-father, Mike Cochran of Anadarko; two half-sisters, Deborah Casey of Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina, and Kimberly Bass of Oklahoma City; step-grandparents, Wayne and Joan Cochran of Anadarko; and grandmother, Jonelle Bandy of Sudan.
