Berry Surname: Berry, Johnson, Nath March 30, 1998 VERDEN-Services for William 'Bill' J. Berry, 71, of Verden will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Verden, with the Rev. Johnny Wray officiating and the Rev. David Bradley assisting. Berry was born May 5, 1926 in Springfield, Mo. to James and Luella (Johnson) Berry and died today in Chickasha. He was preceded in death by his parents. He entered the U.S. Army during World War II and served in Germany. He also served during the Korean Conflict. He married Lillian Nath October 12, 1977 in St. Louis, Mo. While in St. Louis, he worked as a bookkeeper and driver for the County Cab Company for 30 years. Bill retired in 1996 and moved to Verden. Survivors include his wife of the home, a sister and brother-in-law, Myra and Wayne Smith of Glendale, Mo. and several nieces and nephews. Burial will follow in the Verden Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Binyon Funeral Home of Verden.
