Hattie Marie Boyer was born on February 22, 1924, the daughter of Ross Jury and Jenny Pritchard Jury, in Arkansas City, Kansas. She died on Monday, June 3, 2002, in Oklahoma City. Cyd grew up in Webb City, Oklahoma. At the age of sixteen, she moved to Kansas. She later moved to Texas, following her husband's work on the pipeline. After a short time in California, they moved back to Oklahoma. Cyd moved to Chickasha in 1978. She was well known and loved by many people and was known as "Grandma Cyd." She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, four sisters and her husbands, K. D. "Pete" Boyer and Ted Holiday. Two sons also preceded her in death: Bobby Darrell Boyer and Wallace Earl "Butch" Boyer. Survivors include: son, George and Sharon Boyer, of Chickasha; grandchildren: Major Doreen Agin, Lisa Thorne, Eva Turner, Diana Hayes, George Boyer, Jr., Bobbie Johnson, Marla Boyer, Mark Boyer, Sam Boyer; numerous great and great, great grandchildren. Interment will be in the Springside Cemetery in Arkansas City, Kansas. Arrangements are under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
