Bobby Joe Brooksher was born Oct. 26, 1963, in Chickasha, Okla., and died on Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, in Katy, Texas. Burial will be in Laverty Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 21 November 2004 BOBBY JOE BROOKSHER Funeral service for Bobby Joe Brooksher, 41, of Katy, Texas, will be held at Bible Baptist Church on Monday, November 22, at 11 a.m. with Reverend Kim Hayes officiating. Bobby Joe Brooksher was born October 26, 1963, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the son of Ralph and Faye Brooksher, of Chickasha. He was called home Monday, November 15, 2004, in Katy, Texas. Bobby graduated from Chickasha High School in 1981, and attended college at Oklahoma Christian College in Edmond for 3 1/2 years. Bobby worked in Oklahoma City for many years, and after living in Tucson, AZ, and Las Vegas, NV, he finally settled in Katy, TX, where he has been employed with SBC for the last eight years. Bobby leaves behind many close friends. He loved his job and co-workers with SBC. Bobby loved life and lived every day to the fullest. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, camping, computers, 4-wheeling in Colorado, and researching his family's genealogy. Camping in the mountains of Colorado with family was a very special time for Bobby that he always looked forward to. Bobby was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Vernie Anglin, Homer and Willie Ann Brooksher, nephew, Dustin Brooksher, and great nephew, Dakota Burnes. Bobby is survived by his parents, Ralph and Faye Brooksher; three brothers and sister-in-law; Don and Sundra Brooksher, of Edmond, Ron Brooksher, of Mustang, and Jim Brooksher, of Littleton, CO; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Martin Burnes, of Chickasha; nephews: Shane Burnes, of Chickasha, Brad Brooksher and Alicia Lyon, of Edmond; nieces: Jennifer Burnes, of Lewisville, TX, Ronda Dawson and husband Jerrod, of Plano, TX, Lauren Brooksher, of Littleton, CO; great nephews: Danny Derek, Devin, and Khristian Burnes, Parker Dawson; and great niece Ava Dawson.
