Larry Hatfield officiating. Dicky John Bridges was born March 10, 1947, in Anadarko, OK., the son of Dick Bridges and Lucille McCallister Bridges. He died Sunday, September 29, 2002, in Anadarko, OK. John was raised in Fletcher, OK, where he attended schools. He later joined the Marine Corps and worked as a fire equipment manager. Upon leaving the Marines, John Managed the Carrell Corporation plant and managed the night shift at Delta Faucet for several years. His last 20 years he spent working in the oil field. John was affiliated with the Assembly of God Church and a member of the OU Fan Club. John was preceded in death by his father and his only sister, Cindy Bridges. John is survived by his wife, Cheryl Ann Chaney, of the home; his mother, Lucille Bridges; three daughters and sons-in-law: Becki and Michael Brosius, Gina and Marvin Slone, and Robin and David Wade; one son: Ryan Bridges and his fiancee, Mary Jo; three brothers: Donnie Bridges, Bobby Bridges and Ronnie Bridges; six grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. --------------------------------------------------------------------
