::Gruver Cemetery--Gruver TX

Walter R. Broadhurst

GRUVER - Walter R. Broadhurst, 90, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999, in 
Amarillo.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Gruver Cemetery with the 
Rev. Charles Broadhurst officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers 
Funeral Home of Spearman.

Mr. Broadhurst was born in Tuttle, Okla., graduated from Spearman High 
School and attended West Texas State University. In 1960, he moved to 
Parmer County, where he farmed until his retirement in 1982. For two 
years, he lived at the Craig Retirement Community in Amarillo.

He married Donna Nell Murphy in 1932 at Clovis, N.M.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Charles Broadhurst of Amarillo and 
Jimmy Broadhurst of Houston; a daughter, Geraldine Dooley of Borger; seven 
grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
