Browning was born December 31, 1930 in Chickasha to John W. Smith and Mabel Holcomb Smith Huffine and died Tuesday at her home. She lived in Chickasha most of her life. She married Charles Robert Browning January 31, 1975 in Mt. Sterling, Ky. She lived in Kentucky until her husband's death on April 7, 1997 when she moved back to Chickasha. Browning was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister. She was a member of the Christian Church in Mt. Sterling. Survivors include her son, Larry Dan Rodgers of Yukon, Ok.; her daughter, Janita Ann Webb of Shreve, Ohio; her sister, Mary Bell of Fort Cobb, Ok.; her brothers, Richard Wayne Smith and Jack Smith, both of Herford, Texas; her aunt, Maxine Richardson of Chickasha; her uncle, Curtis Holcomb of Chickasha; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services are under the direction of the Brown-Binyon Funeral Home of Chickasha.
