The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ==================================================================== The Chickasha Express-Star 6 August 2002 RAYMOND BROWN Graveside funeral service for Raymond Brown, 59, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2002, in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Rev. Edward Whitley will officiate. Raymond Brown was born the son of Jack Brown and Verdie C. Long Brown on January 7, 1943, in Visalia, California. He died on Monday, August 5, 2002, in Chickasha. Raymond grew up in Chickasha. He attended Chickasha High School until entering the United States Air Force. Raymond served during the Vietnam War as an airplane mechanic. After being discharged from the service, Raymond returned to Chickasha and completed his high school education. He worked as a mechanic on automobiles and other transportation equipment. Raymond was of the Pentecostal faith. He loved to play golf. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Survivors include: daughter, Janie Amos of Phoenix, Arizona; son, Joshua Brown of Houston, Texas; brother, Harry Long of Chickasha; sister, Dorothy Stevens of Chickasha; one grandson, several nieces, other family members and friends. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
