BROWN Graveside service for Opal M. Brown, 91, of Verden, Oklahoma, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2003, in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Chickasha, Oklahoma. Opal M. Brown was born May 9, 1911, in Verden, Oklahoma. She was a daughter of Rufus and Drusiller Taylor. She died Saturday, May 3, 2003, in Oklahoma City. Mrs. Brown was a seamstress for the Dixie Store and owned Brown's Cafe for many years with her husband Richard. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Verden. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Brown, Sr., 1980; her parents; two sons Richard Brown, Jr., Jerry Brown; her daughter Anita Mae Brown and granddaughter Melanie Denise Brown; six sisters and four brothers; and infant daughter, Stephanie Dawn Brown. Survivors include: two sisters: Lid McVey of Verden, Vida Hair of Oklahoma City; granddaughter: Vicki Brown Davis of Oklahoma City; grandson: Gary Brown of Pauls Valley; granddaughter: Debi Milligan of Pauls Valley; four great grandchildren; daughter-in-law: Mary Brown Rhodes of Oklahoma City; numerous nieces and nephews.
