[ROBINSON] BURNEY Funeral service for Dorothy R. Burney, age 81, of Chickasha, Oklahoma is pending with the McRay Funeral Home. Dorothy R. Burney was born the daughter of Scott V. Robinson and Mary Eugenia Peery on January 12, 1924, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She died on May 23, 2005 in Chickasha. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 25 May 2005 DOROTHY R. BURNEY Funeral service for Dorothy R. Burney, age 81 of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2005, in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Charles Bishop will officiate. Dorothy R. Burney was born the daughter of Scott V. Robinson and Mary Eugenia Peery Robinson on January 12, 1924, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She died on May 23, 2005 in Chickasha. She married Zeb Burney on November 7, 1943, in Chickasha. Dorothy lived in the Chickasha area most of her life. She worked for Dr. Roy E. Emanuelle from 1943 to 1947 and Dr. Burton McDougal from 1948 to 1952. Dorothy and her husband moved to Hutchison, Kansas in 1952. While in Hutchison, she worked for Dr. Paul Stoesz from 1957 to 1970. They returned to Chickasha in 1972 and owned the bus station for several years. Dorothy began working for Dr. Barbara McDougal in 1976, and worked until 1981. Dorothy was a member of the Maranatha Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and three sisters. Survivors include her daughter, Bonnie Sue Blasingame of Nashville, Tennessee; son, Roy E. Burney of Kerrville, Texas; brother, Roger Robinson of Dallas, Texas; brother, Walter Robinson of Irving, Texas; sister, Mary Bishop of Sequim, Washington; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
