Persons or organizations desiring to use this material for purposes other than stated above must obtain the written consent of the file contributor. ====================================================================== The Chickasha Express-Star 29 January 2002 Flora Mae Burns Funeral services for Flora Mae Burns, 79, of Cement, Oklahoma, will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2002, at 1:30 p.m. in the First Assembly of God Church, Cyril, Oklahoma, with Reverend Ralph Davis officiating. Flora Ida Mae (Wright) Burns, known to family and friends as Flora Mae, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 27, 2002. She passed away at Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Flora Mae was a homemaker for 58 years, a devoted mother and grandmother and great grandmother. Her spirit and loving heart will be missed by many. Flora Mae was born January 23, 1923, in Lona Valley, Haskell County, Oklahoma, daughter of William Oren Wright and Willie Ann Copeland Wright. Flora Mae married Leonard Jonah "L.J." "Pedro" Burns on September 20, 1941, in Anadarko, Oklahoma. From this union seven children were born: Geraldine Baker, of Cement, Oklahoma; Monetha and Bruce Justice, of Apache, Oklahoma; Charlie and Tanya Burns, of Devol, Oklahoma; Anna Mae Fulton, of Cement, Oklahoma; David and Vicki Burns, of Cyril, Oklahoma; Dovie and John Thompson, of Marlow, Oklahoma; and Bill Burns, of Chickasha. Flora Mae was preceded in death by her husband L.J., both parents, two brothers, four sisters, one grandson John Jeffrey Heritage III, one great grandson Colton Burns and son-in-law Henry "Butch" Fulton. Survivors include seven children, twenty grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Charlie Burns, David Burns, Bill Burns, John W. Thompson, Jeff Williams and Curtis Baker. Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Baker, Christian Webb, Butch Fulton, David Law and Mark Fulton. Interment will be in the Celestial Gardens Cemetery in Cyril, Oklahoma under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
