Persons or organizations desiring to use this material for purposes other than stated above must obtain the written consent of the file contributor. ====================================================================== The Chickasha Express-Star 7 July 2002 WAYNE EARL COBB Funeral services for Wayne Earl Cobb, 55, of Lindsay, formerly of Chickasha, will be held Monday, July 8, 2002, at 10:30 a.m. in the Grand Avenue Assembly of God Church. Wayne E. Cobb was born July 10, 1946, in Benton Harbor, Michigan, the son of Carl J. Cobb and Verna Louise Smith Cobb. He died Wednesday, July 3, 2002, in Oklahoma City. Wayne moved to California with his family as a small child, where he attended public schools. He came to Chickasha in 1979 from Hayward, California. Wayne married Karen Brinkley on July 11, 1980, in Chickasha, and to this union his two sons Chad and Shawn were born. He had been employed with the Phillips E-Z Mart Station on the H. E. Bailey Turnpike, in the early 1980s. He later was employed with Southwest Uniforms for ten years. Wayne moved to Lindsay in 1995, where he was employed with Cudd Pressure Control, retiring in 1997 due to health problems. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl J. Cobb. Survivors include two sons, Chad Cobb, of Dallas, Texas, Shawn Cobb, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one daughter, Hedia Chapman, of Oklahoma City; his mother, Verna Louise Cobb, of Hayward, California; four brothers and sister-in-law, Joe and Jo Ann Cobb, of Turlock, California, Tom and Larry Cobb, of Hayward, California, Doyle Cobb, of Claremore, Oklahoma; two sisters and brother-in-law, Betty and Gene Scroggins, of Gustine, California, Linda Richardson, of Albany, Oregon; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Interment will be in the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in San Joaquin, California. Local services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
