Cook was born June 9, 1942, and died on Monday, Aug. 26, 2002. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, Under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. =========== The Tuttle Times 4 November 2002 MERLE E. COOK Funeral service for Merle E. Cook, 60, of Tuttle, Oklahoma was held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, August 29, 2002 in the Sowers Memorial Chapel, Tuttle. Merle E. Cook was born June 9, 1942 in Guthrie, Oklahoma and died August 26, 2002 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Mr. Cook lived in Guthrie and Oklahoma City, moving to Tuttle in 1984. He and Charlotte Rath were married July 19, 1984 in Oklahoma City. Mr. Cook worked in the oil field and was also a butcher. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Cleo Cook and Anna Mae (Dodd) Cook; one brother; and one granddaughter, Elisha Frances Gore. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Cook, of the home; five sons, Randy Cook of Pampa, Texas, Merle Cook Jr. of Cordell, Bobby Cook of Elk City, Ricky Cook of Raytown, Missouri, and Bryan Gore of Tuttle; two daughters, Laurie Brown and Jessica Cook both of Tuttle; 17 grandchildren; one brother, Charles Cook of Guthrie; host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. --------------------------------------------------------------------
