Cook was born March 18, 1934 in Webster, Oklahoma to Elisha and Sarah Elizabeth (Harrelson) Cook. He passed away August 9, 2004 at 70 years of age. David married Mary Sublett and they were married for 51 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ in El Reno. David retired from FAA in 1994 and presently he owned and operated David J. Cook Horse Farm. He is survived by his wife Mary of the home in Tuttle; his children Gerald Cook of Tuttle, Teresa Locke and her husband Billy of Minco, Steven Cook and his wife Christy of Tuttle; 9 grandchildren and 1 grandson-in-law; 1 great grandchild; brothers Herman L. Cook of Atoka, Orval Cook of Choctaw; his long time best friend James Clovis Booth; numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Floyd Cook, Audie Cook; sisters Lelah Cartmill and Esther Doss. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 12, 2004 at Heritage Family Center, 600 N Mustang RD, Tuttle. Phil Arnold and Ronald Buxton officiated wit h interment in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, Oklahoma.
