Funeral Services Were Held Here for Bobbie Estelle Cast Bobbie Estelle Cast, 86, died Wednesday, January 4, in Shafter, California following a short illness. She was a long time resident of Rush Springs prior to moving to Shafter six months ago. Mrs. Cast was born October 4, 1897 in Breckenridge, Texas. She was married to Elbert Ray Cast on January 26, 1918, in Duncan. He preceded her in death on October 30, 1961. A Rush Springs resident most of her life, she was in the grocery business with her husband for several years. She also worked as a nurses aide. Services were held Sunday, Jenaury 8th, at 2:30 pm form the Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs, with Elmer Whitehead, Jr., pastor of the church, and Clif Werhan officiating. Burial was in the Rush Springs Cemetery. Survivors include two daughters, Loveta Compton of Shafter, and Claudia Couch of Oklahoma City; one son, J.R. Cast of Marlow; one brother, Ennis Ray of Carmichael, California; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Serving as pallbearers were B.J. Crittendon, Junior Hale, Joe Mileur, Keneth Roberts, Wallace Dowling, and Hershel Wilburn.
