Rev. Eddie Critchfield, of Southern Heights Baptist Church in El Reno, Okla., will officiate.. Jesse Samuel "Sam" Chester was born April 17, 1916, in Minco, and died on Monday, Dec. 20, 2004, in Chickasha, Okla. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Minco, under the direction of Huber- Reynolds Funeral Home, of Minco. =========== The Tuttle Times 29 December 2004 JESSE SAMUEL "SAM" CHESTER Funeral services for Jesse Samuel "Sam" Chester, 88, of Minco were held Thursday, December 23, 2004, 2:00 p.m. at the Minco First Baptist Church, with Rev. Eddie Critchfield of the Southern Heights Baptist Church of El Reno officiating. Mr. Chester was born April 17, 1916, in Minco, to Streeter and Bertha (Pinkston) Chester, and died Monday, December 20, 2004, at Chickasha. He lived in the Minco community all of his life. He married Velma Wilkerson on February 14, 1935, at Anadarko. Mr. Chester worked in trucking and harvest for many years, and was also a machinist for Tinker Air Force Base until his retirement. He was former President of the Minco Senior Citizens Center and was a NARO board member for 40 years in Minco. Mr. Chester was preceded in death by his parents, Streeter and Bertha Chester; wife, Velma Chester, on June 26, 2003; two sons, Donald and Charles Chester; one daughter, Phyllis Kay Chester; three brothers, Elbert, Bill and Bobby Chester. He is survived by two sons, Marvin Chester, of Chickasha, Jack and Peggy Chester, of Minco; one daughter, Wanda Jean and Donald Moon, of Newcastle; one daughter-in-law, Leota Chester, of Minco; one sister, Hazel Moore, of Blanchard; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
