Service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the New Life Center Church in Healdton with the Rev. Mary Lou Hutton, Jimmy May and Jimmy Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in the Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Spivey’s Reser Funeral Home in Healdton. Mrs. Culver was born July 26, 1905, in Geary to James Harrison and Clara May Smith Coffman. She married Walter L. Culver on Dec. 9, 1934, in Minco and he preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 1971. She lived in Oklahoma all of her life and began her teaching career in country schools in the Geary area. Following her marriage, she taught in Ringling where she and her husband were the owners of the local Chevrolet agency. They later moved to Loco where they owned and operated a grocery store and she taught school. The couple moved to Velma where she retired from teaching in 1971. After her retirement, she moved to Duncan where she was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Retired Teachers Association, and worked with local 4-H clubs. She was loved dearly by her family and all that knew her. She made friends wherever she went. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mae Dell and Billy Jeter of Healdton; a son-in-law, John Clifton of Frederick; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Culver of Healdton; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Theresa and Danny Jackson, Kristy and Jeff Jackson, and Melanie and Terry Griffin, all of Healdton, Danny and Mary Jeter and Darrell and Twaula Jeter, all of Ardmore, Paulette and Shane Taylor of Heidelburg, Germany, and Connie Clifton of Bedford, Texas; and 13 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Rose Mary Clifton on Dec. 11, 1999, a son, Jim Culver on March 11, 1974; and three brothers. Bearers will be David Jeter, Darrell Jeter, Danny Jackson, Terry Griffin, Jeff Jackson and Darren Jeter.
