M. Caldwell, died in a hospital at Chickasha Sunday morning at 1 o'clock following an operation, age 25 years, 11 months and 6 days. She was the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. C. W. Taylor. Was a member of the Baptist church. She was married to R. M. Caldwell Sept. 3, 1916. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, two children, parents and two brothers. The last services were held Monday afternoon, Rev. Mr. Harman, of Chickasha, officiating. Songs were touchingly rendered and the flowers were many and beautiful, but not more beautiful than the face that rested so peacefully among them. Beautiful in life, beautiful in death, but far more beautiful in the resurrection morn. Flowers seem to be the best emblem we have to express our love, for we wreathe them around the cradle, the marriage altar and the tomb. Thus would we leave her, and in memory keep her, as sweetly reposing among the beautiful and fragrant flowers. Her life was gentle, but like the still waters, it was deep. In her heart of hearts she carried those she loved, and her hand was never weary, her step never failed in ministering unto, caring for, or waiting upon those who were in any way dependent upon her. Thus closed the early life of one who, being dead, yet speaketh. She was laid to rest in the Verden Cemetery. Submitted by Sandi Carter
